The Museum has the unofficial reputation of being one of the best rural museums in the country and this is reinforced by the wonderful comments we continually receive from our visitors.

With a dedicated staff complement and amazing Board of Trustees who give their time voluntarily we are able to retain and continue offering the public at large a wonderful experience.

However, there is always a requirement for interested parties to assist us  and we encourage people from the area with an interest in history and preserving the history of the area for future generations to consider offering their services as a volunteer, a member of the Board of Trustees or as a docent to assist with school tours and other visitor groups.

Entrance to the Museum is free but donations are welcome.

Assistance of a financial nature is also welcome and all moneys received, whether in the form of donations, fundraising activities and the like are used towards the ongoing upkeep of this beautiful historical treasure and it contents.

We also welcome donations in kind - particularly items that can be used in our fundraising activities.

And of course, the best support that we receive is the gift of your presence at the Museum.
