The long awaited new exhibition that chronicles the presence and demise of the elephant in the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg area is now open for viewing.

Along with the elephant the story includes the Drakensberg San, the story of Dumisa and the hunter-traders of Natal in the mid 1800's.

The idea for this exhibition was sparked by the donation to the Museum, of an old elephant tooth that was found in a disused saw pit near the Qulashe Forest on a farm previously owned by the local Corfe family.
